Perfect Web Browser
Atomic Web Browser remains my favorite App browser, but last night I purchased Perfect Web Browser after reading it’s claim Perfect Browser can spoof user agent string and render web pages like the target browser of your choice: Chrome, Opera, Firefox or IE, with a startling 1:1 level of similarity; I contacted the author to ask if he knew whether his browser properly supported viewing WordPress admin screens, so that it is possible to scroll the text box when entering a post (like now!).
He did not know, but did tell me of a fabulous trick that works in ALL iPad browsers! So I bought his App – it’s OK, but it is not as good as Atomic!

Basic browsing works fine, and it seems crash-free (though I did one time see a page render incorrectly, but just for a short time). Like Atomic, the App offers various settings including the ability to “spoof” other browsers so that the web page appears like a desktop computer rather than in mobile form. However, it’s less elegant than Atomic, sometimes needing the App to be restarted – and contrary to the claims, it does not make pages just like the desktop with a “startling level of similarity”. Indeed it is no better than any other browser – presumably because they all use Webkit built in to the iPad!

As you can see, there are less settings than Atomic, and laid out in a less tidy way.
Perfect Web Browser offers tabbed browsing, the ability to work more like a desktop browser, in-page searching, full-screen browsing, and other useful features better than the Safari browser built in to iPad.
But, it’s not as well finished as Atomic Web Browser – and it costs more! So stick with Atomic …
