News on the iPad continues to be re-invented; one of the latest attempts is from ABC News, offering an unusual world/globe interface:
Current stories are wrapped around the globe which you can spin in any direction to view different stories, and tap to call up any story; unfortunately while the globe interface is cool, it’s not very practical as you can’t see many stories, and it’s a little sluggish at spinning. Thankfully, you can switch to a more traditional list – and the actual news content is pretty good:
ABC News also offers videos and photos, both worked fine:
Mostly I’m just surfing the web for news, but when I do want an App instead of a web page, this ABC News is better than the BBC offering …
